ABOUT ME

During my formative years, a shared dual passion for art and mathematics, lead to a fascination for all sorts of architectural graphics. Remarkably, this inclination seemed to mirror my grandfather, an architect whose influence lingered, even though our paths never crossed.

High school presented a unique journey as the lone female enthusiast in a drafting class where I received a Canadian Manufacturer's Association Technical Scholarship Award for my grades.  Amidst the drafting desks and blueprints, I discovered my sanctuary, an overlooked computer. Endowed with exclusive access, I discovered the wonders of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for the first time.

Choosing to delve into the world of architecture at the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson) where we were still mostly taught to draw by hand, as there were not enough computers for each student, I found myself yearning for the efficiency and limitless possibilities of their use. After graduating with a  Bachelor of Technology in Architectural Science I was eager to bridge the digital divide. I pursued a Professional CADD Program at Humber College, graduating with honors. This transformative experience not only honed my CAD skills but unveiled the realm of 3D design through courses like 3DS Max Modeling and Animation including Digital Audio and Video Production, and Image Editing.

Embarking on my professional journey, I served as a technologist for a couple of architectural firms. Yet, the allure of cutting-edge computer applications persisted. A serendipitous encounter with an advertisement for Designstor, a 3D rendering company, altered my trajectory. Ignoring the 'no walk-ins' caveat, I strode into their office, proclaiming my desire to join. This audacity marked the genesis of my two-decade tenure as Designstor's inaugural employee. The ensuing years were a tapestry of collaborative brilliance, as the office burgeoned into a hub of creativity. Colleagues became a second family, making every day a joyous exploration of architectural visualization.

As life's inevitable transitions unfolded, Designstor's closure signaled the end of an era. Undeterred, possessing the skills and confidence to tackle a project of any size from star to finish,  I embark on a fresh chapter, driven by an unwavering passion for my craft.  My current objective is to better acquaint myself with additional software and delve into the realms of artificial intelligence.   My vision is clear - to master the art of translating architects', designers' and planners' visions into captivating 3D and 2D illustrations, ranging from conceptual to photo-realistic.
